Death-row convict killed in RAB ‘shootout’ in Joypurhat

The perished "Shafin" was blamed in five cases and was granted capital punishment in a murder case. He had been outlaw throughout the previous five years, said Joypurhat-based RAB-5 boss Major Hasan Arafat.

The tip top police unit struck a town close to the town around 3am on Wednesday on a tip-off of a mystery meeting of lawbreakers.

"Shafin and his different accessories opened fire constraining RAB to strike back. Shafin was discovered dead on spot subsequently" he said.

A stacked gun was recuperated from the spot, said the RAB officer.
