Portion of Airport road to remain closed for 24 hours

The western side of the Air terminal Street from Khilkhet intersection to Moonmoon Kebab intersection will stay shut for 24 hours from Friday 10:00am to encourage the landing of Chinese president Xi Jinping.

The Chinese president is planned to touch base in Dhaka Friday morning for a 24-hour trip.

To encourage the landing of the Chinese pioneer, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has taken some different measures like re-drawing activity courses, evacuation of speed-breaker and street divider.

A DMP official statement said the eastern side of the Air terminal Street from Khilket convergence to Moonmoon Kaba (Padma Oil) intersection will stay shut from Friday 10:00am to Saturday 10:00am.

In spite of the fact that the eastern side of the street will stay open for vehicular developments, the DMP has asked all long-course transport and other substantial vehicles to not utilize the air terminal either while entering or leaving the capital.

DMP's activity division has effectively expelled partition of street divider and speed-breaker from air terminal street as a feature of its measures to encourage Xi Jinping's visit to Bangladesh.

The powers have additionally raised enormous size bulletins along the air terminal streets with the pictures of PM Sheik Hasina and Chinese president Xi Jinping to welcome the Chinese pioneer.
