The High Court on Thursday conceded safeguard to BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi for six months in a brutality case recorded in 2015.
A HC professional seat including equity Sheik Hassan Arif and equity Shahidul Karim passed the request in the wake of hearing on an appeal.
Advocates Joynul Abedin and Johirul Islam Sumon drove the hearing for the BNP pioneer.
Conversing with columnists, Johirul Islam said now there is no legitimate banish to his discharge from prison as he secured safeguard in all cases.
On 28 January 2015, a body of evidence was recorded against some BNP pioneers, including Rizvi, with Ramna police headquarters for burning a transport in the city's Matsya Bhaban region that slaughtered a policeman.
On 18 August, a court sent Rizvi to prison when he surrendered under the watchful eye of a court and petitioned God for his safeguard.
