The 90-year-old, who was captured a year ago, kicked the bucket at the Dhaka Medicinal School Healing center right off the bat Wednesday, said jail powers.
Dhaka Focal Prison official Nesar Alam advised bdnews24.com he was taken to the healing facility on Tuesday night as his physical condition weakened.
"The specialists pronounced him dead around 2am," said Corrections officer Alam.
Solaiman was blamed for wrongdoings like murder, assault and fire related crime amid the 1971 Freedom War.
In May 2010, Adbus Samad Talukder, an opportunity warrior from Shariatpur, documented a body of evidence with the nearby court against Solaiman and two others.
The case was later moved to the Worldwide Violations Tribunal (ICT).
Solaiman was captured on Jun 14, 2015 after the tribunal issued a warrant for him.
As per case reports, Solaiman and his assistants alongside the Pakistani strengths carried out wrongdoings like murder, assault, plunder and pyro-crime in Hindu-larger part regions of Shariatpur's Palang Upazila between May 22 and 25 in 1971.
